Two different routes
YouTube Shorts are subject to YouTube’s Community Guidelines, copyright policies, and applicable legal requirements. Depending on the content and circumstances, there are two main approaches to requesting removal.
Policy-Based Removal: YouTube Shorts containing prohibited harassment, threats, impersonation, privacy violations, scams, or other Community Guidelines violations may qualify for reporting. YouTube reviews the content and determines whether removal or another enforcement action is appropriate.
Copyright and Legal Removal: If someone has reused your original videos, photographs, music, or other copyrighted material without authorization, you may qualify to submit a copyright removal request. Certain privacy violations and other unlawful content may also be addressed through specific legal reporting procedures.
Not all unwanted YouTube Shorts qualify for removal. Genuine criticism, opinions, commentary, and legally permitted uses of copyrighted material may remain online. Our team evaluates the circumstances and helps identify the appropriate reporting route.

How the request works
01
Submit the YouTube Short URL
Share the link to the YouTube Short you want reviewed and briefly explain why you believe it violates YouTube’s policies.
02
Free Case Assessment
Our specialists review the Short, evaluate the circumstances, and identify any potential policy or legal grounds for removal.
03
Evidence Preparation
We organize relevant documentation, including screenshots, video timestamps, original files, and supporting information.
04
Report Preparation and Submission
When valid grounds exist, we assist with preparing and submitting the appropriate report or authorized legal request through YouTube’s official channels.
05
YouTube Reviews the Request
YouTube evaluates the submitted information and decides whether the content should be removed, restricted, or remain available. Removal is not guaranteed.
Questions about this service
Do I need a lawyer?
Not for Community Guidelines reports such as harassment or threats. For defamation, a lawyer’s involvement or a court order is often what makes YouTube act, so we may recommend one.
Can I remove someone else’s YouTube Short?
You cannot directly delete another person’s YouTube Short. However, YouTube may remove Shorts that violate its Community Guidelines, copyright rules, privacy policies, or applicable laws.
How do I report a YouTube Short for removal?
You can report a Short using YouTube’s built-in reporting tools. Copyright and certain privacy complaints require separate procedures. Our specialists help identify the appropriate reporting process.
